To exceptionally open, modify or close a service, go to the Settings section in the upper right of your Zenchef dashboard and select Bookings --> Stock management --> Shift exceptions
1. Create a new service exception by clicking on :
2. Choose the name of the exception (only visible from your account), then the period over which the exception will be active.
3. Insert a message that will only be visible in the booking module for the chosen period.
4. Determine which services are active during the period.
- To modify an existing service, click on it and you will be able to change the number of covers, the period open for reservations or the request for a bank imprint.
- To close a service during the defined period, click on the cross at the bottom right.
Please note: You cannot close all services using this function.
See the following article to close your module for a given period. - To open an exceptional service, click on Add a shift. You will be able to decide whether you want to create a new service from scratch or start from an existing service and modify its parameters.
Example 1 :
You're planning to open for dinner on Sunday 31 December when you're usually closed.
- Create the exception.
- Choose a name.
- Define the active period.
- Insert a visible message on the module by clicking on one of the days in the period if you wish.
- Add a new service. By default, it will extend over the selected period.
- Define the service parameters for the active day(s).
- Click Save and then Create exception by clicking the second Save.
Example 2 :
You are usually open on Sunday evenings and would like to close this service to offer a brunch at lunchtime.
- Create the exception.
- Choose a name.
- Define the days concerned.
- Delete your dinner service.
- Create a new service: define the number of covers open, the reservation period and the open slots.
- Click on Save and then Create exception by clicking the second Save.
