What is 'PolyTouch'?

PolyTouch is point-of-sale software developed in-house by Polygon, with the aim of supporting your business operations. Why is an integration with 'PolyTouch' important?

With the link between PolyTouch and Zenchef, reservations and table management run automatically synchronously.

 

What does the integration with 'PolyTouch' include?

Synchronization of reservations

  • Zenchef reservations are automatically imported into the PolyTouch POS system.
  • Reservations can be found in the “Reservations” function within PolyTouch. Here you can manage all incoming reservations. Within “Reservations” you have an overview through a reservation list which expires chronologically based on arrival time.

  • Zenchef can automatically assign a table to the reservation. This assigned table is visible in the restaurant map of PolyTouch. Within PolyTouch it is adjustable when a table turns red (reserved status). Furthermore it is also possible to display future reservations on the floor plan table (name and time).
  • Reservations can also enter PolyTouch without table assignment from Zenchef. These non linked reservations will appear in a list where through PolyTouch the reservation can be linked to a table. These reservations have a red text color.
  • When you release a table in PolyTouch after the customers have left, this is also synchronized to Zenchef. There, the table is then set to “finished,” and it is again possible to reserve that table.

Assigning/moving tables

  • When a table is moved in PolyTouch, this change is immediately updated in Zenchef. A reserved table can be changed by going to the desired reservation via “reserve”. By then going to the floor plan, the reservation can be moved. There a new table can be chosen.
  • For a reservation that has not been automatically assigned a table from Zenchef, the assignment works the same way in PolyTouch. You can select a table of your choice within the floor plan.
  • Moves performed in Zenchef are automatically reflected in the PolyTouch floor plan.

Cancellations

When a reservation is cancelled in PolyTouch, it is also cancelled in Zenchef, and vice versa. To cancel a reservation, you can select the reservation and then select “cancel”. Then a black line will be put through the reservation and visible in the column “canceled”.

Manage future reservations

  • In the “Reservations” function within PolyTouch, future reservations can be viewed.
  • Here, personal data, such as the customer's phone number, as well as dietary requirements and other comments are synchronized with the cash register.

How do I set up the integration with 'PolyTouch'?

  1. Activate the integration via https://app.zenchef.com/zw#/parameters/partners.
  2. Provide your Zenchef RestaurantId to Polygon.
  3. Table numbers in PolyTouch must match those in Zenchef exactly, also in terms of
    capitalization (8a and 8A are not the same).
