⌛️ 🍽 What is the purpose of indicating meal durations?

Zenchef allows you to define, based on the number of seats, the time you want to allocate to each reservation.

Specify the durations of your reservations:

⚙️ Indeed, when you set up your shifts from your settings, you must indicate the meal durations based on the number of seats:

But the durations can vary depending on the occasions, your team, and also depending on your regular customers, whether they are in a hurry or not, etc.

Thus, we allow you to customize the meal duration for each reservation.

You can activate this option from your reservation settings "book a table", in the booking information section. And make it mandatory or not when making a reservation : 

You can enter this duration directly in the new booking edition actions.

🔄 and modify the default value by clicking on modify the reservation.

The advantages of accurate booking durations:

🔝 Optimization of your use of the floor plan with the timer : you can activate it to check the remaining/elapsed time for each reservation here.

🏨 Optimization of your availability on your booking widget: the availability in terms of seats is based on the time allocated to each reservation.

Example: by setting a duration of 2 hours for a reservation of 6 seats, you will know that after 2 hours, this number will be available again on your booking widget.
