What you need to know
1. How to create new custom tags
Follow these steps:
Click the +New button on the upper right. Then choose Reservation category or Guest category.
First create a Category: type in a name (e.g. Table preference), accept the default category icon (or change it), and select a color. Then add one or more tags (e.g. Window) in the Tags box.
After you type in each tag, click Enter or click the tag name on the floating window that appears.
Below the Tags box, you'll see a toggle switch which you can enable if you want the category and tag(s) to be shared across the restaurants in your group.
Click Save to confirm.
Note that if a custom category already exists, you can also create new tags for it by clicking Modify category (pencil icon) and adding to what's in the Tags box. If it's helpful, you can also Duplicate a category and then make changes to the duplicate.
2. How to edit or delete custom tags
Follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Reserve > Operations > Tags. You will see a Categories list. Scroll down to your custom categories.
Click the Delete button to delete the entire category. If you just want to delete one or more tags within that category, click Modify category (pencil icon), then click the X next to the tag(s) you no longer want.
From the Modify category screen, you can edit the entire category (change the name, icon, color, or sharing, then click Save). Or you can edit the tags within that category: click the three dots in the tag name and then change its name, category, or icon. You can also delete the tag. Click Confirm.

4. Discover AI Tagging (Auto-Tags)
AI Tagging is available for users on the Grow Plan. It is a new feature designed to help restaurants save time and improve the accuracy of their reservations. It automatically analyzes guest comments in the reservations widget and suggests relevant reservation tags to highlight key information at a glance. More information on how this feature works can be found here: How to manage AI Tagging.
