Why is an integration with 'MyBeezBox' important?

It simplifies the work of you and your guests. The information of the voucher is always linked to the reservation and the status of the voucher will also be synchronized between Zenchef and MyBeezBox. That way you don't have to validate it in the two systems.

What does the integration with 'MyBeezBox' include?

Entering the voucher code

Guests will be able to enter the code of the voucher in a dedicated field while making a reservation via the Zenchef widget. As a restaurant, you also have the option of noting the voucher code if you add a manual reservation in Zenchef. Entering the code will make an interaction with the database and validate if the voucher code exists, if not, an error message will appear at the bottom of the reservation widget.

Reservations with voucher

Reservations with a voucher attached can be easily identified in Zenchef based on the MyBeezBox logo. You can hover over the icon to check the value of the gift voucher.

Status of vouchers

• Once a voucher has been attached to a reservation the status of the voucher in your MyBeezBox will change from 'paid' to 'being used'.
• Once a reservation is marked as seated or finished in Zenchef, the status of the voucher in your MyBeezBox environment will change to 'used'.

Credit card guarantee

If the restaurant operates with a credit card guarantee and a voucher was registered by the guest during the reservation, a credit card guarantee will no longer be required.

Disclaimer

1. In MyBeezBox there are two types of products: vouchers and gift cards. The code of gift cards start with the letters GC. The status of a gift card cannot be updated via the API, only vouchers can.
2. If a gift voucher is entered for a reservation on the waiting list, it will be considered as 'in use' and cannot be used for another reservation until the reservation on the waiting list is cancelled.

How do I set up the integration with 'MyBeezBox'?

1. MyBeezBox has activated the integration on their end.
2. Activate the integration with MyBeezBox in your Zenchef environment via settings and the partner tab. You will find the partner under the category 'Vouchers'. Click on the connect button next to the partner. Add your MyBeezBox username.
3. Create a ticket in Zendesk for the customer support team of Zenchef to add the custom voucher field in your reservation widget.
