How do I add/edit an event on my website?

What you need to know

Events allow you to highlight news (theme night, special service, promotion, etc.) directly on your Zenchef website. They appear in a dedicated tab on your site called “Event”. You can associate an image, a description, a validity period, a price, or an external link. The event can be temporary or permanent, and it can remain visible even after its end date.


1. Create a new event on your Zenchef website

  • Go to your Settings, then navigate to the Marketing and Communication section.

  • Click on “Event” under the Website section.

  • Click on “Create an event”.

  • Enter the name of your event. For example: “Live Concert – Music Festival Night”.

  • Then complete the following elements:

    • An eye-catching cover image (maximum 2MB)

    • A description

    • A start and end date and time

    • An optional recurrence

    • A price, if applicable

  • Save.

Your event will automatically be published in the “Event” tab of your Zenchef website.
Note: This tab only appears if you have created and activated events.


2. Edit a published event on your Zenchef website

  • Go to your Settings, then navigate to the Marketing and Communication section.

  • Click on “Event” under the Website section.

  • Click on the “Edit” button next to the event you want to update.

  • Make the necessary changes (name, date, description, etc.).

  • Save at the bottom of the page.

The updates will be visible on your website within a few minutes.

Note: You can also retrieve past events to edit them and, for example, add a new date.

Common cases

  • You don’t see the event on your website.
    Check that your event has been saved correctly and that the associated dates are valid. If you just created it, wait a few minutes and refresh your website page.

  • You want to reuse a past event.
    Update the dates and information of the past event, then republish it.

  • How do I delete an event?
    Go to the Events section, then select the “Delete” icon.

  • Can my clients book this event?
    The “Event” tab is designed to help you communicate about your highlights. To make these events bookable, you need to configure them directly in the “Service & Booking” tab. Create a special service and/or an experience.
