Zenchef's Marketing Suite now includes a new way to manage your contact lists, making it easier to target your audience for both SMS and Email campaigns. This article will guide you through importing your contact lists and using them for your campaigns.
Marketing Suite: Contact Lists
In the latest update, the Marketing Suite now features a "Lists" page that replaces the previous Recipient Lists section. This new page displays Zenchef website newsletter subscribers and provides the ability to import contact lists via CSV files. You can now import and manage your own contact lists for more precise audience targeting in your marketing campaigns.
Importing a Contact List
To import your contact list, follow these steps:

Go to the Lists Page
Navigate to Guests > Marketing > Lists in your Zenchef account. -
Upload Your CSV File
Click on ‘Import contacts’ and select your CSV file to upload. Make sure your CSV file follows the required guidelines, which you can review here: CSV Import Guidelines. -
Map the Fields
After uploading the file, map the fields from your CSV columns to ensure the data is aligned correctly (e.g., mapping email addresses, phone numbers, names). -
Confirm Data Use Consent
Ensure that your contacts have consented to the collection and use of their personal data. This is a critical step to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. -
Review for Errors
Zenchef will automatically check your CSV file for any errors, such as invalid email addresses or phone numbers, and duplicates. Only valid contacts will be imported into your list. -
Confirm and Finish
Once everything is mapped and verified, confirm the import. Your contact list will be ready for use in your campaigns.
Using Imported Lists in Campaigns
Once your contacts are successfully imported, you can use them in the following campaign types:
- SMS Campaigns: Use the imported lists as audiences for SMS campaigns.
- Email Campaigns: Similarly, you can use the imported lists for your email campaigns.
