Purpose and Benefits
As a restaurant, it is crucial to never miss important information, especially those that are urgent, time-sensitive, or critical to daily operations. The Notifications Settings feature enables restaurants to define the type of notifications they want to receive and configure the channels through which they receive them. Additionally, it allows for the designation of default recipients for SMS and email notifications.
How to Access and Configure Notifications
The Notifications Settings can be found in Settings > General & Teams > Notifications. This section provides detailed customization options for two types of notifications:

Others: Covers Reviews, Takeaways, Table Payment, Contact, and Zencall.
For each notification type, restaurants can choose the appropriate channels, depending on their availability:

Popup (in-app)

Push (mobile or tablet)

SMS
Customizing Recipients
Restaurants can also define:

SMS Recipient: A single phone number used for all SMS notifications. A reminder about SMS fees is displayed for transparency.

Email Recipient(s): Different email addresses can be assigned for specific types of notifications, ensuring the relevant people receive the appropriate updates. Notification categories include:

The settings are auto-saved, so there is no need to manually save changes.

At least one email address per category is mandatory.

Only one SMS recipient can be set.
Known Issues and Limitations

SMS notifications are subject to additional fees based on usage.

Push notifications require the Zenchef mobile or tablet application to be installed.

Email notifications may be delayed depending on the recipient’s email provider.
