At a time when the French are looking to support the French economy by buying direct and without intermediaries, SecretBox.fr is a place of visibility that directs consumers to the official gift box boutiques of hoteliers, restaurateurs and players in the tourism and leisure sector.
Why is an integration with Secretbox important?
The integration allows guests of your restaurant to register gift vouchers directly during booking. Gift vouchers are checked for validity by the integration. Within Zenchef, you have the ability to immediately see which guests have booked with a gift card from Secretbox so you can easily deduct this from the bill.
What does the integration with Secretbox include?
Zenchef
- Guests and restaurants can register their gift voucher code via the widget.
- Gift vouchers are checked for validity.
- Restaurants can set a limit on the number of gift vouchers per service. This is limitation is only applied for reservations made via the Zenchef widget. The restaurant can always overrule this limit.
- The title and description of the gift voucher are visible in Zenchef.
- The gift voucher is automatically registered as used.
Secretbox
- Visibility that a gift voucher is linked to a reservation.
- Visibility that a gift voucher is used when the reservation is marked as finished.
Zenchef widget
Guests are able to register their gift voucher via the widget or you are able to register a voucher when adding a manual reservation. The status of the voucher in Secretbox will be set to 'reserved'.
Zenchef reservation list
In Zenchef, you will be able to see if there is a gift voucher linked to the reservation and what the number of the gift voucher is.
Details of the voucher
You can retrieve the details of the gift voucher by editing the reservation.
Mark a voucher as used
In order to burn a voucher you have to mark the reservation as 'seated' or 'finished'. If a reservation is marked as 'no_show' the voucher will also be burned.
Cancellation of reservation
If a reservation is cancelled the 'reserved' status will be removed. The voucher can be used for a new reservation.
Disclaimer
- If a gift voucher was registered for a reservation requiring a credit card guarantee, no credit card guarantee will be requested.
- If a reservation is made with a voucher for the waiting list the status of the voucher will be set to 'reserved' and can't be used for another reservation.
How do I set up the integration with Secretbox?
Secretbox
Retrieve your Secretbox credentials for the Zenchef integration via assistance@api-and-you.com.
Zenchef
- Activate the integration in your Zenchef environment, go through settings to the partners tab. Click the connect button next to 'Secretbox'. Add your token, domain_name and establishment_id.
- Ask Zenchef's customer success team to add the gift voucher field in your Zenchef widget.
Setting limits on the number of vouchers per service
Edit the service on which you want to apply a maximum number of voucher via your Zenchef environment.
