Why is an integration with unTill important?

Zenchef and unTill have integrated to allow restaurateurs to centralize their actions and customer information, freeing up time for their core business.

What does the integration with unTill include?

The unTill - Zenchef integration allows the restaurateur to automatically update reservation statuses (seated, finished) and retrieve details and the amount of the order/bill on the reservation and guest profile.

Reservations

  • If a walk-in reservation is created it will be synced to unTill.
  • If a regular reservation is created it will be synced to unTill.
  • If a table is openend in unTill and a reservation is linked to the table a notification will be displayed and the reservation can be accepted.
  • When the reservation is checked in on unTill, the number of persons are updated in Zenchef.
  • Notes from the reservation are visible in unTill

Table assignments

  • If a reservation is moved in Zenchef before opening it in unTill, the change will also be visible in the unTill.
  • When a reservation consists of multiple tables, these tables are also linked in unTill upon check-in.

Status changes

  • If a reservation is accepted on unTill the status of the reservation in Zenchef will change to ‘seated’.
  • If a bill has been paid on unTill, the status of the reservation will be updated in Zenchef to 'finished'.
  • On reopening the bill, the reservation in Zenchef also reopens.

Order details

  • If a bill has been paid on unTill, the details of the bill (food and drinks) will be visible in Zenchef.
  • Based on the bill, an average spent will be calculated and saved on the profile of the guest in Zenchef.

Disclaimer

  • If a table is opened in unTill, a walk-in will not be created in Zenchef.
  • When a table is linked with multiple tables in unTill, these tables are not added to the reservation in Zenchef.
  • When moving a checked-in reservation in unTill, the table is not moved in Zenchef.
  • When a table is opened in unTill and it corresponds to a reservation in Zenchef within x period, the reservation is not checked in and this table is not linked to the reservation in unTill.
  • Pre payments are not synchronised to unTill upon check-in of the reservation in Zenchef.
  • Tags of the reservation or guest are not visible in the POS.
  • The integration is not synchronising status "proforma” - “at the bill” or different stages of courses (starter, main course, dessert, etc.).
  • Changes to number of persons in unTill are not sent back to Zenchef.

How do I set up the integration with unTill?

To make the integration work properly it is very important that the tables in unTill and Zenchef have the same description.

You can activate the integration with unTill in your Zenchef environment via settings and the partner tab. You will find the partner under the category 'Point of sales'.

  • Click on the connect button next to the partner.
  • Provide your Zenchef restaurantId to your contact person at unTill or unTill reseller. The Zenchef restaurantId can be found at the top of this page.
