Lightspeed K-Series V2 offers a robust, real-time connection between Zenchef and the POS, helping teams work more efficiently throughout service.

Seamless setup & real-time sync

  • Fast, self-service setup to get started quickly.
  • Real-time, two-way synchronization ensures information is always up to date.
  • All Zenchef reservations for the current day are visible directly on the POS, giving staff a complete overview of service at a glance.

Smarter reservation & table management

  • Reservations created in Zenchef automatically appear in the POS.
  • Creating a walk-in in Zenchef instantly opens an order in the POS.
  • Opening an order in the POS automatically creates a walk-in in Zenchef.
  • Reservations assigned to multiple tables in Zenchef are reflected accurately in the POS.
  • Reservation notes from Zenchef are visible to staff in the POS.
  • Changes to the number of guests made in the POS are synchronized back to Zenchef.
  • Reservations can be marked as “seated” in Zenchef, improving service tracking.
  • When a bill is paid in the POS, the reservation is automatically marked as “finished” in Zenchef.

Guest Information

Rich guest information at the POS

  • Guest first and last name, email address, and mobile number are visible on the POS.

What is not included in Lightspeed K‑Series V2

While V2 significantly expands functionality, some features are not supported in the current version. Being aware of these limitations helps set clear expectations.

Reservations & Status

  • Table changes made in the POS for a checked-in reservation are not synchronized back to Zenchef.
  • Opening a table in the POS does not automatically link it to an existing Zenchef reservation.
  • Reservations cannot be marked as “no-show” from the POS.
  • POS proforma status is not synchronized with Zenchef.

Guest Data

  • Guest birthday and address are not visible in the POS.
  • Changes made to guest profiles in the POS are not synchronized back to Zenchef.

Vouchers & billing

  • Zenchef vouchers and partner vouchers are not synchronized to the POS.
  • Split bills are not synchronized from the POS to Zenchef.
  • Reopening a bill in the POS does not update the reservation status in Zenchef.

Lightspeed K-Series V2 is a major step forward compared to V1, bringing more automation, visibility, and guest context to the POS.

How do I set up Lightspeed K-Series V2

For customers who have not yet activated the integration

To activate the Lightspeed K-Series integration from Zenchef, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Zenchef account and open the Zenchef Marketplace
    👉 https://app.zenchef.com/zw#/parameters/partners
  2. Find Lightspeed K-Series (iKentoo) in the list of partners and click Connect.
  3. Log in using your Lightspeed credentials.
  4. Select the Lightspeed business location you want to connect.

To activate the Lightspeed K-Series integration from Lightspeed, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Lightspeed account and navigate to the Lightspeed Integration Hub and search for the Zenchef integration. (https://pos-admin.lsk.lightspeed.app/marketplace/reservations/zenchef)
  2. After connecting on the Zenchef website, add the ‘manage reservations’ and ‘pay by deposit’ buttons to required menus in integration settings.
  3. Reload all your POS devices.

For customers who have yet activated the integration

To update the Lightspeed K-Series integration from Zenchef, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Zenchef account and open the Zenchef Marketplace
    👉 https://app.zenchef.com/zw#/parameters/partners
  2. Find Lightspeed K-Series (iKentoo) in the list of partners and click Disconnect.
  3. The button will change to Connect allowing you to reconnect again.
  4. Log in using your Lightspeed credentials.
  5. Select the Lightspeed business location you want to connect.
