What you need to know 

  • The Message Center now includes filters for All, Unread, and Important messages.

  • The “Important” filter highlights urgent guest messages, such as reservations with guest comments in the next 3 days.

  • Unread messages from before the feature activation are cleared, so you start with a fresh, accurate unread count.

  • Available for “Manage” and “Grow” pricing tiers.

  • This update helps restaurants respond faster to guest needs and ensures no important messages are missed.

 

1. How to use Message Center filters in Zenchef OS

Easily sort and prioritize guest messages to deliver faster, more attentive service.

To use the new filters: 

  • Log in to Zenchef OS and navigate to the Message Center.

  • At the top of the Message Center, you will see three filter buttons: All, Unread, Important.

  • Click “All” to view every message.

  • Click “Unread” to see only messages you haven’t opened yet.

  • Click “Important” to view urgent messages, such as:
    * Reservations with messages or comments from guests happening in the next 3 days
    * Conversations are ordered from the closest reservation date to the furthest

  • Take action on urgent messages directly from this view to ensure timely guest communication.

 

Tips:

  •  The “Important” filter is designed to help you never miss a time-sensitive guest request.

  • After the feature is activated, your unread count is reset for clarity and ease of use.
