This feature is available for Grow and Zenpremium packs.
You can upload up to two PDF Gift Card templates (for example, in two different languages).
Your PDF must contain form fields for dynamic data (e.g., guest name, amount, Gift Card code, expiration date).
You can preview the final Gift Card before it is sent to guests and modify it if needed.
Each custom Gift Card setup is a one-time fee per unit (see pricing below).
1. Uploading and Setting Up Your Custom Gift Card PDF
Restaurants can now fully personalize their gift cards by uploading their own branded PDF templates.
How it works
Go to your Zenchef back office: Settings > Pay > Gift Cards
Click on the option "Custom PDF" to upload a custom Gift Card template.
Upload your PDF file(s) that you have previously created why the software of your choice. You may upload up to two versions (e.g., French and English).
Your PDF must include form fields for all dynamic data (customer name, amount, Gift Card code, expiration date, etc.).
Map each form field in the interface to the corresponding Gift Card data.
Use the preview function to check how the final Gift Card will look with sample data.
Save your changes. The uploaded design will now be used for all new Gift Cards.
Tips: Don’t want to create your PDF yourself and would prefer your Account Manager to take care of it for you? It’s possible! Contact your Account Manager (paid service, pricing available upon request).
2. Previewing and Managing Your Custom Gift Cards
You can preview your Gift Card design and manage your uploaded templates at any time.
In the Gift Card Settings, select the template you wish to preview.
The preview will display the Gift Card with sample data filled in.
To update or replace a template, simply upload a new PDF and repeat the mapping process.
3. Uploading Custom Gift Card from the Zenchef mobile App
You can also upload and set up your custom Gift Card PDF templates from the Zenchef iOS app, following the same process as in the web application. Go to General Settings > Pay > Gift Cards and follow the same steps described above.
