What you need to know

The Restaurant PIN feature allows you to restrict certain actions so they can only be carried out when the user inputs the correct PIN. You can choose to protect actions such as:
  • Making a reservation above a certain number of guests
  • Modifying or deleting customer records
  • Marking a service as fully booked
  • Charging a customer
  • Downloading the customer file
💡 The Restaurant PIN feature is included in the Manage and Grow subscription plans. You can configure it in the web app or in the iOS mobile app.

1. Configuring the Restaurant PIN

  • Go to Settings > General & Team > Team > Staff list.

  • Click on the key icon (Restaurant PIN) at the top right.

  • You'll see a list of actions. Enable or disable the actions you want to secure with the PIN.

  • Don’t forget to Save your changes. (When you click Save, you will be asked for the Restaurant PIN.)

You can set/change the Restaurant PIN code itself by clicking on the lock icon (PIN) at the top right.

2. Using the Restaurant PIN

To perform actions protected by this feature, you’ll be asked to enter the defined PIN number. For example, if you enabled the Restaurant PIN for “Mark as fully booked,” then all users—including those with Manager status—will need to enter the PIN to perform this action.
