Can you explain how Click & Collect works?

Zenchef provides you with a Click & Collect module (takeaway) that allows you to set up Click & Collect service hours and products to sell. More information on our Help Center

 

How does payment work? Bank transfer? Credit card?

The option of AUTOMATICALLY REQUEST PAYMENT FOR TAKEAWAY ORDERS is optional and needs to be enabled in the "service types" section of your Click & Collect settings.

After selecting the products they wish to order, customers will enter their details (as with a regular reservation) and then go through a credit card payment step before being able to confirm their order, which you will receive in your ZENBOOK > Order Book (Shopping Cart Icon).

 

What should I do if I already have a Stripe account?

If your Stripe account has not yet been linked to your Zenchef account, follow the steps described here.

If you are unable to access the configuration interface, it means that the payment-related features are not included in your Zenchef subscription. You can contact your account manager to discuss your subscription and its options.

 

How does VAT work?

The Click & Collect module does not collect VAT for you. You must create a receipt from your cash register and give it to your customer. The Zenchef Click & Collect module should be considered as a payment terminal.

 

If my customer requests an invoice, can you provide it?

No. Just like VAT, the Click & Collect module does not generate invoices for your customers (since it does not collect VAT). You must create a receipt from your cash register and give it to your customer. The Zenchef Click & Collect module should be considered as a payment terminal.

 

Is the order integrated and recorded in my cash register/POS?

No. The Zenchef Click & Collect module is simply an online ordering module and is not connected to your cash register system in any way, regardless of the type of cash register you have. When you receive an order from a customer, you must enter it manually into your cash register to generate an invoice and calculate VAT.

Are there any commissions?

If payment is made when the order is placed, a 5% commission is applied to sales transactions to cover the costs of the Stripe payment partner.

Specifically:

  • for European cards: the commission applied is 3% unless these 3% are not enough to cover Stripe's fixed fees, in which case the commission applied is 1.4% + 0.25€
  • for non-European cards: the commission applied is 5.9% + 0.25€

 

I already have a delivery service, is that a problem?

No problem, this module is for takeaway sales only and does not handle delivery. The buyer is responsible for picking up their purchases at the specified time when placing the order.

 

Will takeaway be available directly on our website?

Just like your reservation module, if you have a Zensite (website created by Zenchef). Otherwise, you can find more information at the bottom of this article: More information on our Help Center

 

Is it possible to set rules for takeaway? For example, block the service after 11am?

Absolutely, everything can be set in Settings > Click & Collect. More information on our Help Center

 

Can this module be integrated with Facebook?

Yes, simply use the link of the order module and add it to Facebook if you wish. More information on our Help Center

 

I already have a special "delivery" menu, how can I import it to my restaurateur space for my special "Takeaway" menu?

If this feature does not suit me, how do I disable it?

Simply disable the Click & Collect menus you have created to deactivate the feature (More information on our Help Center).
