What is Apro?

APRO is an Austrian POS and operations platform built specifically for gastronomy and hospitality. the system is used by more than 6,000 restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés, canteens, food trucks and chain operations across Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol. APRO is modular: a restaurant starts with the core POS and adds only the building blocks it actually needs. Mobile ordering on handhelds, kitchen display (Bestellmanager), self-order and self-checkout kiosks, delivery, vouchers, webshop, real-time reporting and app products. The architecture is hybrid: the system runs locally for full offline safety and offers cloud access for central management, multi-site control and remote access. APRO is fully compliant with the legal requirements for cash register systems in Austria (RKSV), Germany (TSE / KassenSichV) and Italy (Fatturazione elettronica), and provides certified interfaces to leading hotel PMS, accounting (BMD, DATEV, RZL), inventory, payment and access systems.

Why is an integration with Apro important?

For restaurants already running APRO at the till, a direct connection between their reservation tool and the POS removes daily friction and unlocks measurable value:

  • No double entry — guests, party size, table assignment and arrival times flow automatically into the POS. Service staff stop juggling two systems.
  • Faster table turnover — the POS sees in real time which tables are reserved, occupied or free, so hosts seat guests more efficiently and the kitchen plans the rush more accurately.
  • Cleaner reporting — covers, revenue per cover and reservation channel performance show up in the same dashboards the operator already uses for daily, weekly and monthly closing.
  • Fewer mistakes during peak — automatic table sync prevents the classic "table double-booked at the POS".

What does the integration with Apro include?

Reservations created via Zenchef are synchronized to the POS.

If an order is opened in the POS, a walk-in is created in Zenchef.
If a reservation is assigned to multiple tables in Zenchef, these tables are also linked in the POS.
Zenchef reservation notes are visible on the POS.
If the table assignment for a checked-in reservation is changed on the POS, the table assignment is also changed in Zenchef. NA
When a table is opened in the POS and it corresponds to a reservation of the reservation tool within x period, the reservation is checked in and this table is linked to the reservation in the POS.
A change in the number of persons of the reservation via the POS is synchronized to Zenchef.
If the reservation is cancelled via the POS, the status of the reservation will also change to ‘cancelled’ on Zenchef.
Reservation statusses  
The restaurant is able to mark the reservation as ‘seated’ via Zenchef. NA

If a bill has been paid the status of the reservation on Zenchef will change to ‘finished’.

Allergies are visible on the POS.
Zenchef tags of the reservation or guest are visible on the POS.

Changes made to the guest profile on the POS are synchronized to Zenchef.

Synchronization of prepayments to POS.
Synchronization of Zenchef vouchers to POS.
Synchronization of partner vouchers to POS.
Billing information is synced from the POS to Zenchef.
Billing information is synced in real time from the POS to Zenchef.
Splitted bills are synced from the POS to Zenchef. NA
If the bill is reopened on the POS, the reservation in the reservation tool also reopens. NA

How do I set up the integration with Apro?

APRO licence requirements apply.

Table numbers must be identical on Zenchef and Apro for the integration to work properly.

Zenchef

You can activate the integration with Apro in your Zenchef environment via settings and the partner tab. You will find the partner under the category 'POS'. Click on the connect button next to the partner.
