What is Bork?
Bork provides point-of-sale and payment solutions for the hospitality industry. With this integration, when a guest selects “seated” in Zenchef, they are immediately assigned to the correct table in the POS system.
Why is an integration with Bork important?
Without the integration, staff must manually enter reservations into the POS system. The integration prevents errors regarding table numbers, the number of guests, and advance payments. It also ensures that the POS system stays up to date with what has happened in Zenchef.
What does the integration with Bork include?
- Zenchef to Bork: As soon as a reservation is marked as “seated,” we open the table or ticket in the POS system. The name, number of guests, linked tables, allergies, comments, and any prepayment (charge) are included.
- Bork to Zenchef: A walk-in at the POS is created as a “seated walk-in” in Zenchef, including all linked tables. If the POS moves a party to a different table, Zenchef updates the table(s) accordingly. Once the bill is paid, we transfer the reservation after a short delay (default 60 seconds).
Disclaimer
- Only reservations with the “seated” status are forwarded.

How do I set up the integration with Bork?
You can activate the integration with Bork in your Zenchef environment via settings and the partner tab. You will find the partner under the category 'Point of sales'. Click on the install button next to the partner.
On activation an email with the restaurant info will be send to Bork. Bork links the Zenchef restaurant ID to the POS. After that, the integration works without any further steps.
