Why is an integration with Cashpad important?

With the link between Cashpad and Zenchef, reservations management runs synchronously.

What does the integration with Cashpad include?

The Cashpad - Zenchef integration allows the restaurateur to automatically update reservation statuses (seated, finished) and retrieve details and the amount of the order/bill on the reservation and guest profile.

Reservations

  • Cashpad is able to retrieve the Zenchef reservations and display them on their reservation list and table plan.
  • Cashpad is able to retrieve the remarks for reservations.
  • Changes (arrival time, number of persons, …) made to reservations in Zenchef will be visible on Cashpad.
  • If a table is opened on Cashpad the status of the reservation in Zenchef will change to ‘seated’.

Tables

If a reservation is moved on the POS to another table, this change will not be reflected in Zenchef. We assume that guests are first assigned to the right table in Zenchef before a bill for the table is opened in the POS.

Guest profile

Cashpad is able to display the following information related to the guest:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Mobile
  • Email

Walk-ins

If an order is opened on a table in Cashpad a walk-in will be created on Zenchef.

Billing information

Once the bill has been paid in Cashpad, the status of the reservation in Zenchef will be set to ‘finished’. The details of the order will be added to the reservation in Zenchef and an average spend will be saved on the profile of the guest.

Zenchef Pay

  • If a table is activated and the articles are sent on Cashpad the bill we be retrieved on Zenchef Pay.
  • If a table is payed via Zenchef Pay the table will be billed on Cashpad.

How do I set up the integration with Cashpad?

To make the integration work properly it is very important that the tables in Cashpad and Zenchef have the same description.

Cashpad

The restaurant must be using Cashpad version 2.0.16 or later.

In the point of sale settings, the restaurant needs to check the events that you want to send to Zenchef.

In this case the restaurant needs to check the boxes as shown in the example below.

Go to External services and scroll down to the Zenchef interface. The restaurant must add the token provided by Cashpad and their Zenchef restaurantId.

Zenchef

You can activate the integration with Cashpad in your Zenchef environment via settings and the partner tab. You will find the partner under the category 'Point of sales'. Click on the connect button next to the partner and add the webhook_url provided by Cashpad.

Zenchef Pay

We need your "Server" and your "Installation ID". These pieces of information allow us to connect and communicate with your cash register. To obtain this information, please send an email to support@cashpad.fr

Once you have received a response from Cashpad:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Then in the "Pay at table" tab, and in the "cash register software" section, select "Cashpad" from the dropdown menu.
  • Add the Installation ID and the Server in the corresponding fields.
  • Click on "Connect".
