What You Need to Know / Tips

Closing online reservations ensures that no customers book a table at the last minute or during service. If you choose to keep reservations open during service, we recommend registering walk-in customers in Zenchef to prevent overbooking.

 

1. Setup on the Web App

You can easily configure reservation closure from the Zenchef web application.

  • Go to Settings, then to the Service & Reservations tab, followed by Services and Experience.

  • Click on Service, then edit the service for which you want to enable closure.

  • In the Online Automation tab (third tab), check the box "Limit late access to online reservations" and set your preferred time limit.

    • Example: If you want to close online reservations 30 minutes before the start of the service/reservation.

  • Click Save at the bottom of the page.


2. Setup on the Zenchef iOS App

This setting is not yet available in the Zenchef iOS app. Please access your account from the web app to configure it.

  • Availability settings are not updating.
    Allow a few minutes for the setting to apply to your Zenchef reservation module and a few hours for the Google Reserve module.

FAQ

  • How do I close reservations for a specific day?
    This setting is activated per service. If you want to set different restrictions for specific days of the week, configure your services accordingly.
