What you need to know

Zenchef allows you to receive notifications for each new reservation request. You will need to either confirm or decline each request manually.

There is an automatic confirmation mode available to help you avoid handling these actions manually every day. Go to your service settings to activate it.

 

1. Managing reservation requests from the Web App

All pending reservation requests appear in the "Pending reservations" tab in your Zenchef account. They are marked with the orange status "To manage".

  • Check availability: Use the counters indicating the number of available covers for each time slot to ensure you can accept the reservation.

  • Click the colored status icon on the reservation

  • Choose to Confirm or Cancel by clicking the corresponding button

  • Your customer will automatically receive an email or SMS (depending on your settings) notifying them of your response.

 

2. Managing reservation requests from the iOS and Android App

Open your Zenchef app and select the "Home" tab from the menu at the top left.

  • All the reservation requests that require action are listed in this section

  • They are marked with the orange status "To manage"

  • Check availability: In your list of confirmed reservations, use the counters showing the number of available covers for each time slot to ensure you can accept the booking

  • Tap the colored status icon on the reservation

  • Choose to Confirm or Cancel by selecting the corresponding option

  • Confirm your choice

  • Your customer will automatically receive an email or SMS (depending on your settings) notifying them of your decision

 

3. Common issues & FAQs

Common issues

  • My customer didn’t receive the confirmation notification
    Check the notification settings in your Zenchef account to ensure they are correctly configured.
    Make sure the contact details provided for notifications (email, phone number) are accurate.

  • My service is overbooked.
    Check availability counters regularly to avoid accepting more reservations than your capacity allows.
    You can choose to deduct pending reservations from your available table stock. Visit the relevant settings page to activate this option

    Go to the reservation in your Zenchef account and select the edit option to make any necessary changes.

  • Why are my reservations being automatically confirmed?
