What you need to know
The floor plan lets you view and manage your reservations for each service. You can customize what information appears on it so that the visual matches your organization as closely as possible.
1. Customize the display from the web application
Go to your Zenchef account settings > Service & Reservations tab > Rooms and Tables > Floor Plan Display.
A selection of display options is available on this page. You can, among other things, choose to:
- Enable or disable your floor plan to make it appear in your reservation tab and assign tables to your reservations.
- Choose which customer information you want to display on your online floor plan.
- Show a ★ icon on the table if a guest is VIP.
- Confirm waitlist reservations when assigning them to a table.
- Choose the colors for all your time slots or for your active services: these colors correspond to the “confirmed” status of a reservation and allow you, for example, to distinguish lunch from dinner service. For example, for the 12:15pm slot, we chose a burgundy color.
The preview of your options lets you see which features you’ve chosen to display.
Don’t forget to save your changes at the bottom of the page.
2. Customize the display from the iOS and Android app
This setting is only available on iOS. If you have an Android device, log into your account from the web app to configure it.
- Log into your Zenchef account from the app.
- Go to Settings > Reservations > floor plan view
- Check the information you want to appear on your floor plan.
- Save at the top right.

Common cases
- The information on my floor plan is hard to read. You may have too much information enabled and visible, which makes it hard to read. It’s recommended to sort out this information using this Help Center article.
FAQs
- Can I change the background color of the floor plan? Yes, you can set it to white. On the dedicated page, uncheck the "activate Night view" box.
- Can I customize the reservation colors on the floor plan? You can assign a different color for each time slot. This lets you visually distinguish reservations for the first and second service, for example. The colors of statuses (confirmed, canceled, etc.) cannot be customized.
