What you need to know

Creating a Company or Referrer profile in Zenchef allows you to easily identify clients who are booking on behalf of a specific business or through a referrer. This helps you organize your B2B relationships and track all bookings linked to these profiles.

 

1. Creating Company records in your customer database

  1. Go to your Zenchef account > Customer database > Companies.

  2. Click on Add a company.

  3. Fill in the contact details: company name, phone number, etc.

  4. Save.

In your manual reservation form settings, make sure the Company field is enabled.
You will then be able to link a company to each reservation and easily identify the clients associated with it.

 

2. Creating Referrer records in your customer database

  1. Go to your Zenchef account > Customer database > Referrers.

  2. Click on Add a referrer.

  3. Enter the information you have on the referrer. For example:

    • Referrer name: Hotel de la Gare

    • Contact name: Concierge

    • Commission amount per booking

    • Phone number, email, etc.

  4. Click Create to save.

In your manual reservation form settings, make sure the Referrer field is enabled.
You will then be able to associate a referrer with each reservation and easily track the clients they send to you.

 

Important to know:

Once the referrer profile is created, you will have access to a direct booking link that you can share with them.
This is a personalized version of your reservation widget, tailored to the referrer.
They can use it to book directly for their clients, and it allows you to track all customers they refer.

 

Who receives booking notifications — the referrer or the final client?

  • If you’ve linked a referrer to the reservation and also entered the final client’s email, the final client will receive the booking notifications (confirmation, reminder, etc.).

  • If you haven’t entered the final client’s email, the referrer will be the one receiving all notifications.
