What you need to know

When clients book online, they appreciate having all the useful information before their visit. Adding a personalized message to your Zenchef booking widget allows you to:

  • Inform clients during booking: special schedules, temporary closures, special menus, booking conditions…

  • Reduce misunderstandings: well-informed clients are less likely to arrive at the wrong time or contact you last minute with questions.

  • Improve the customer experience: a short welcome note or a clear detail gives a professional and caring impression.

1. Add a general message on the booking widget

A general message lets you share important information with all your clients directly at the time of booking.

  • Go to Settings > Services & Bookings > Widget > Configuration

  • At the bottom of the page, you will find the text editor.

  • You can use the following HTML tags for formatting:

    • Bold: <strong>Your text</strong>

    • Italic: <em>Your text</em>

    • Line break: <br>

2. Add a service-specific message

A service-specific message allows you to display details only for one particular service.

  • Go to Settings > Services & Experiences > Services

  • Click on the service concerned.

  • Enter your text in the field “Service comment” and save.

  • The message will immediately appear above the corresponding service in your booking widget.

Benefit: you can highlight a special menu, a specific schedule, or booking conditions, and this in 10 different languages.

  • How can I translate a service comment into several languages?
    You can enter your texts directly in the language fields available in the service settings.

  • Where can I update or delete a message?
    In the same settings section where you added it (general or service-specific), by editing or removing the text.
