How to set your cancellation policy?
When implementing credit deposit, you have the option to set the deadline for allowing your customers to cancel their reservations.
To do this, go to your Settings, then to the edition section of your shifts :
This setting allows you to define your cancellation policy.
What are the consequences for reservations?
1️⃣Your customers are informed of your cancellation policy
- On the booking module, at the stage of providing their bank authorization (in the case of automatic requests).
- On the page where they enter their banking information in the case of manual requests
- In the email confirming their reservation
2️⃣Your customers can cancel their reservation until the last moment
- Before the cancellation deadline, the status of the reservation and the associated bank authorization changes to Cancelled
- After the cancellation deadline, the status of the reservation changes to Cancelled Late but the associated bank authorization remains
When canceling their reservation, customers are informed that the cancellation deadline has passed.
3️⃣You can decide the fate of late cancellations
- by manually changing the status to No-show
AND / OR
- by manually charging the bank authorization
Which reservations are affected?
Only:
- reservations with a Deposited bank authorization
- reservations with a Prepaid experience*
*By essence, a prepaid reservation cannot be cancelled.
