What you need to know
Every reservation has its own history in the reservation list.
This gives you access to:
- All actions performed on the reservation and by which user of your restaurant
- All notifications sent to you and your client
- The ability to undo the last action made on the reservation
The history is available only for one month after the reservation date.
1. View the history from the Web Application
- Log in to your Zenchef account.
- Go to the Reservations tab and open the desired reservation.
- Click the History tab on the reservation page.
- You’ll find:
- All actions performed on the reservation, with date, time, and user
- a "undo modification" link that lets you revert the last change
- At the bottom, a "View email and SMS history" link which shows:
- Messages sent
- Their delivery status
- Option to resend them if needed
2. View from the Zenchef iOS app
- Open the Zenchef app on your device.
- Go to the relevant reservation.
- Click on the History tab of the reservation page.
- You’ll find:
- All actions performed on the reservation, with date, time, and user
- a "undo modification" link to revert the last change
- A "Messages" tab where you can view:
- Sent messages
- Their delivery status
- Option to resend them if needed
*Note: You can only undo the last action.
Note: The notification history is not a messaging tool—you cannot chat directly with clients.
Note: If you cancel a reservation by mistake and undo this action, your client will not be notified that their reservation is actually not cancelled. You’ll need to inform them. Or you can make a new reservation for them.

Common cases
- The reservation history is no longer visible The history is available for 1 month after the reservation date. After that, the information is archived automatically.
- I can’t find an email or SMS sent to a client Check under “Email/SMS History” at the bottom of the reservation page. Make sure the client’s contact details were entered.
FAQ
- Can I undo an action on a reservation? You can revert the last action (e.g., undo a modification) from the History tab. This does not send an automatic notification to the client.
- Can I export the history? No, the history can only be viewed from the Zenchef interface.
