What You Need to Know: Prerequisites

To activate the "Book" button on your social media pages, you must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Have subscribed to the "Meta Facebook & Instagram" option in your Zenchef plan.

  • Be a Facebook Page Administrator with full control*

  • Have added the page to your Business Manager** account

  • Have connected your Instagram page to your Facebook account

Optional:

    • Have created a Facebook Pixel account

    • Have created an advertising account

If your advertising or pixel account is marked as "Not Eligible",
Or if you do not have a pixel or advertising account when logging in,
Then you can create a new one directly from the interface. The account names will be by default:

- "Zenchef - advertising account" and
- "Zenchef - Pixel account",

So be sure to rename them with the name of your establishment.

 

* Make sure you have full control of your Facebook page and your Instagram page (Full Control Access):

**Being an administrator of the Facebook page is not enough. It will also need to be in your Business Manager Account: More details

1. Activate the "Book" Button on Meta (Facebook + Instagram)

2. Activate the "Book" Button on Instagram

If you do not have a Facebook account, it is still possible to create a "Book" button on Instagram only. In this case, follow the tutorial video below.

For this approach, the setup is done directly from your Instagram account.


Steps to Activate the "Book" Button on Instagram:

  1. From your Instagram account interface, click on Edit Profile.

  2. Click on Action Button, then select Book.

  3. From the list of available partners, choose Zenchef.

  4. The Zenchef login interface will open. Enter your Zenchef credentials.

  5. You are now connected to your Zenchef account. Return to Instagram.

  6. Go back to the previous page until you find the Save button at the top of the screen.

  7. Click Save.

  8. The "Book" button is now visible to your customers (as an Instagram admin, you will not see it).

⚠️ If you continue to receive an error message indicating that you do not have administrative access when you actually do, contact individuals who have administrative access to the Facebook page, Instagram profile, and Business Manager account.

    Reach out to your team members who have administrator access to the Facebook page, Instagram profile, and Business Manager account.

  • I can't find the "Facebook & Instagram: Connect" button in my Zenchef account settings.
    Make sure your subscription plan includes the Zenchef "Meta Facebook & Instagram" option. If needed, contact our customer support team for assistance.

  • How can I check if I have full control of my Facebook page?
    Go to your Facebook page settings, then navigate to the "Page Roles" section. Ensure your account is listed as an Administrator with full control.

  • Why can't I see my Instagram account during the setup process?
    Make sure your Instagram account is properly linked to your Facebook page in the Meta Business Suite settings.

  • What should I do if my advertising account is marked as "Ineligible"?
    If your current advertising account cannot be used, Zenchef can automatically create a new one for you. You can then rename it in the Business Manager.

  • How long does it take for the "Book" button to appear?
    The button usually appears within a few minutes after configuration. If not, try clearing your browser cache or logging back into your Facebook/Instagram account.
