What You Need to Know
Zenchef (Zensite) website advanced settings let you customize your site’s content and information. This page allows you to go further than the standard templates offered, for more advanced personalization and configuration of your Zenchef website
To access these settings:
- Click “Configuration” in the top-right corner.
You’ll then have access to the different configuration sections available for your website.
1. Restaurant Profile
The Restaurant Profile section allows you to share the details that make the difference with your guests and keep them coming back.
Here, you can configure the information displayed on your website, including:
- Description: Add the description you want to display on your website.
- Restaurant type: Select the type of restaurant that best describes your establishment.
- Type of cuisine: Select the type or types of cuisine you offer.
- Spoken languages: Indicate the languages spoken by your restaurant team.
- Offered services: Select the services available at your restaurant.
- Payment methods: Specify the payment methods accepted at your restaurant.
You can configure these fields according to the information you want your guests to see on your website.
2. Site Preferences
The Site Preferences section allows you to add or customize additional elements displayed on your website.
- Tripadvisor ID: is the string of numbers after the letter “d” in the Tripadvisor link for your restaurant’s page. Adding your Tripadvisor ID allows you to display a snippet of Tripadvisor reviews on the Press/Reviews page of your Zenchef website.
- Video: the Video field allows you to insert a link to a YouTube video that will be displayed on your website.
- Virtual tour: allows you to integrate the code provided by your virtual tour provider and display the virtual tour on your website. More info [here].
- The HTML widget field lets you, for example, display a custom widget on your website.
- The Personalized CSS sheet can be used to personalize your website’s design. Note: you must be comfortable with CSS code to use this.
- The field “Use my logo instead of the title” lets you use your logo instead of the restaurant name on your website.
3. Custom Display of Reviews
Reviews you receive via Zenchef are private by default.
If you want to display them on your website on a Reviews page:
- Enable “Show private reviews”.
- Choose the review history you want to display. You can choose to display all reviews since the beginning, or reviews from the last 12, 6, 3, or 1 month.
You can also choose to display your responses to customer reviews on your website. Enable “Show replies to reviews on your site”. If you reply to a review, your response will be displayed below that review on your website.
4. Personalized Links
The Personalized Links section allows you to add customized links or buttons to your website. See this dedicated article on creating custom buttons and links: “How do I add custom buttons to my Zenchef website?”
4.1 Customized Button
You can add a customized button displayed in the top banner of your website.
This can be useful if you want to direct guests to a specific page or external service.
4.2 Personalized Link
You can also enable “Show a personalized link on your site”.
A personalized link appears in the navigation bar of your website. You can also choose the language versions in which the link should appear.
5. Common cases & FAQs
